Richly textured and expansive
AIR is a project for multiple synthesizers that instigates deeply embodied ‘rooms within a rooms’ of perpetually shifting sonic energies, extending the long-tone work of La Monte Young, Phill Niblock, Eliane Radigue and Alvin Lucier. It investigates the dynamic relationship between positive and negative space through the sculptural interplay of intersecting drones and complex harmonic aggregates.
AIR has played alongside Oval, Norman Westberg (Swans), Marina Rosenfeld and Josef Van Wissem at Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery, Café Oto, National Portrait Gallery, Prague Quadrennial, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, MONO (Institute of Modern Art), St Jerome’s Laneways Festival, Vivid, Rhiz, bb15 and MONA FOMA.
AIR’s debut album WHITE ON WHITE is available through Room 40/A Guide To Saints.
